Once again, we at VisionPoint Marketing are excited to attend the American Marketing Association’s Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education November 11 through 14. Tony Poillucci, Vice President of Strategy and Creative, and I will attend the conference in New Orleans and we cannot wait to get down to the Big Easy!

We are elated at the opportunity to not only be in attendance but also to present at this conference. Tony will present Monday afternoon with Laurie Clowers, Associate Vice President of Communications at Wake Tech Community College.

The presentation, “Governance: How the 5 R’s Protect You from the ‘Frankenstein-ing’ of Your Website”, will address content creation and publication across various levels of responsibility for content creators, editors and unit leaders, among many others.

You can also expect the following high-level takeaways:

  • Gain a clear understanding as to why governance is so critical to the long term success of your website
  • A step-by-step approach on how to create your own governance plan
  • How to get internal stakeholders to not only buy into the policy, but to truly own it

Laurie Clowers and Tony Poillucci are a great team for this presentation because of our work designing and developing a new website for Wake Tech on a new Content Management System, Drupal. A key component of the new waketech.edu continued success is their robust governance plan.

VisionPoint is proud to be one of this year’s more than 60 speakers presenting on topics ranging from brand identity to social media and search marketing techniques. With so many experts presenting and topics covered, we of course we hope you decide join us to learn about website governance.

Please feel free to reach out to either myself or Tony (or both of us), to speak one-on-one to learn more about VisionPoint, website governance or any other questions for us. We hope to see you in New Orleans!
