VisionPoint to Present at the NCMPR National Conference

After just a few short weeks back in Raleigh, I’m ready to hit the road again. This time, I’ll be representing VisionPoint at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Annual Conference in St. Louis. It’ll be my first ever trip to the “Gateway to the West.” A lifelong baseball fan, I’m just disappointed the Cards aren’t in season!

One of the things we love most about NCMPR is the dedication to professional development of all members and their institutions. NCMPR currently serves over 1,500 members from 600 different community colleges. Having worked with many community colleges over the years, we’ve seen firsthand the value and opportunity they provide students.

Even better, more community colleges than ever are choosing to challenge the notion that investing in “marketing” and investing in “mission” are mutually exclusive. Community colleges are telling their stories more boldly than ever, and audiences are responding. We’re watching it happen from the Carolinas to California.

That’s precisely what we’re going to discuss at NCMPR – how community colleges can use content strategically tell their story in ways that reach, resonate with and motivate their audiences. This session will walk through the process of setting goals, developing personas, brainstorming content ideas, defining the engagement funnel and creating a publishing schedule. Take away suggestions for customizing this approach to fit your budget and resources and leave with actionable steps and documentation to create a recruitment tool that provides prospective students with content they need, when they need it.
