As higher education evolves and competition increases, having a strong and sustainable brand platform is more important than ever before. Brand and marketing challenges are so prevalent in higher ed, that CASE has a conference whose sole purpose is to help attendees “identify, explain and integrate the key ingredients to creating, sustaining and measuring the impact of a successful brand strategy and market position.”

Next week, our Creative Director will be heading up to Washington, DC to speak at the CASE Annual Conference on Marketing and Branding. This will be VisionPoint’s first time participating in this particular CASE conference. But, like all CASE events, we’re excited to share our experiences and learn valuable lessons from our peers.

One of the best ways to reinforce your brand message is with great content. We’re not just talking about writing some blogs and posting some photos. We’re talking about generating strategic and thoughtful content that meets the needs of your target audience and serves your goals. In fact, we feel so strongly about the importance of content that we’ll be presenting a breakout session at 2:15 pm on Tuesday, June 7th.

Content (Strategy) is King: Engaging and Converting Your Audiences by Providing Content They Need, When They Need It

Does your website content lack a strong strategic direction? Is it often driven by special events, course descriptions or the requests of leadership? How do you move from a model of arbitrary content development to a strategic content plan that is both compelling and specific to your target audiences? This session walks through the process of setting goals, developing personas, brainstorming content ideas, defining the engagement funnel and creating a publishing schedule. You’ll leave with the know-how to create a recruitment tool that provides your audience with content they need, when they need it.

If you’re attending the Annual Conference on Marketing and Brand, we hope you’ll join us for this hands-on session. If you’re unable to attend this year’s conference, you can download the presentation slides from the eduInsights section of our website.
