VisionPoint Marketing Welcomes Donna Mercer as Marketing Strategist

VisionPoint Marketing announces the addition of Donna Mercer as Marketing Strategist. Drawing from more than two decades of experience in media planning, marketing strategy, and consumer insights, Donna serves in a crucial capacity to develop, captain and execute marketing solutions for VisionPoint’s higher ed clients.

As marketing strategist, Donna studies every aspect of clients’ challenges and goals and uses her expert-level marketing savvy to create and execute marketing strategies that increase client ROI. She ensures that each member of the VisionPoint team – from creative experts to digital marketing specialists to inbound content creators – have clear insight into clients’ goals and strong direction on the tactics to implement.

Donna comes to VisionPoint from her previous role as Vice President of Advertising and Consumer Insights at Golden Corral Corporation. There she led creative strategy, production, and dissemination of national and local market advertising promotions for all 490 of Golden Corral’s locations. Donna managed and directed multiple advertising, promotions, email, social media agencies and website partners to produce all annual and local market promotions across all forms of traditional and digital media. With her work in consumer insights, Donna also conducted extensive marketing research on audiences to gauge awareness and usage, customer satisfaction, concept development and demand, customer intercepts and more. 

Before her time at Golden Corral Corporation, Donna was Senior Vice President at Howard Merrell & Partners leading operations of advertising, communication, marketing, branding, media, production, and more for local, national, and global accounts.
