Paul Fairbanks
Web Strategist

Bio
As a former middle school math teacher, Paul relishes uncovering unique methods to solving problems. His problem-solving abilities come in useful as VisionPoint’s Web Strategist, redesigning websites that showcase the unique values and goals of our clients. Paul works closely with clients to fully understand their challenges and guides the strategy for the VisionPoint team of experts – the information architects, designers, developers, and content strategists – to create websites that exceed clients’ expectations.
Paul has spent over a decade in higher ed marketing and communications, focusing on all things digital, including web strategy, content strategy, SEO, and analytics. Before joining VisionPoint, he worked for Gettysburg College as the Director of Digital Strategy.
“An institution’s website is at the core of their digital presence and has to meet a unique set of goals for each college or university,” says Paul. “It has to be user-centered, perform well on any device and network, be accessible, and drive engagement. There are so many moving pieces but the expertise of the team at VisionPoint gives us a head start. We know what works and how to get there.”
Paul’s interest in traveling comes from being innately curious about the world around him. As a Peace Corps volunteer, he spent two years living in northern Namibia. He has traveled across Southern Africa from Madagascar to Botswana and, most recently, the length of South America from Cartagena to Ushuaia. Outside of being an avid traveler, Paul enjoys grabbing his snowboard and hitting the slopes.
