Jamie Boggs
Marketing and Media Analyst

Bio
Jamie approaches everything analytically – including his beloved sport of baseball – and personifies our truth as a data-first marketing agency. With a mathematics degree and nearly 15 years of experience in higher education, he helps clients use data to drive decisions in a climate where the margin for error is as slim as budgets are tight and competition is tough. He pieces together data points from our clients’ campaigns, Google Analytics, CRM, SIS and other sources to provide a 360-degree view of the impact our marketing strategies are having on big-picture goals. His eye for seeing exact solutions behind even the most vexing marketing challenges is an x-factor in converting awareness and inquiries into enrolled students.
“All data tells a story, and many times it tells a different story than what your senses or preconceptions may indicate. I work hard to make sure clients understand the story the data is telling so that they can make adjustments to optimize the returns on their investment.”
One of Jamie’s strengths is building data models to forecast desired success outcomes – an ability he honed while working at Eastern Kentucky University and Berea College, where he used mathematical approaches to distill retention and performance data into best-practice pathways to student success. With VisionPoint, he has been taking his skills to the next level by helping engineer VisionPoint’s DecisionEngine, a state-of-the-art measurement platform that uses predictive analytics to give our clients full visibility on the student journey, from awareness to enrollment to graduation.
Jamie is one of VisionPoint’s many recognized authorities in higher ed analytics, having delivered numerous keynote presentations on the topic and holding multiple certifications across industry-leading platforms like Google Analytics and Green Dot. A bourbon purist, Jamie’s ideal beverage is straight and to the point, much like the surefire solutions he creates.
