Bio
Bruce is an effective leader in change, both inside and outside of the office. As a Group Account Director, he strives to lead our clients to success. He collaborates with clients one-on-one to address needs and develop action plans that are personalized to their unique goals and challenges. Like every great leader, Bruce has a team of experts working alongside him, working closely with our marketing strategists, integrated marketing team, website experts, and creative resources.
As a marketing professional, Bruce has worked on both the agency and client sides, including extensive experience working within the education sector and in higher ed providing client services, digital marketing strategy, and media and analytics support. At Pearson Education and Adtalem Global Education, he contributed to student enrollment at the associate, undergraduate, and graduate levels leading the enrollment marketing efforts for online and on-campus programs of partnering colleges and universities. For the University of Texas El Paso and Maryville University, Bruce supported the launch of UTEP Connect and Maryville Online, enterprise-wide online extensions for each respective university. He served as the Enrollment Marketing Director for Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and assisted in student enrollment marketing for Nova Southeastern University, Ross University’s School of Medicine and School of Veterinary Medicine, and American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Bruce’s experience outside of higher ed includes his work in experiential and field marketing in the consumer goods and retail industries. Most notably, he worked with Red Bull North America supporting national and regional brand events.
“I am passionate about working in education and leveraging my experiences to support greater access to education and helping individuals and communities reach their educational goals,” Bruce says. “I believe it is important to enable access to education for underserved and underrepresented communities, and one of my favorite things is to hear from students who are working toward their education journey.”
Bruce’s desire to create and support a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment for students extends past his professional life. As a first-generation Mexican/Filipino American, Bruce holds culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion to the utmost importance. When he’s not engaging in the local Chicago performing arts community, he’s an active parent, alongside his husband, in his son’s school.
