Brent Beam, Director of Enrollment Strategy, earned his master’s at Virginia Commonwealth University and now applies his specialized skills and knowledge on behalf of our client partners to help them achieve their enrollment and admissions goals. With over 20 years of experience as a marketing and sales executive, he has led transformative initiatives across education, edtech, and training sectors. He now uses his experience in higher education to develop effective strategies and marketing plans that draw on VisionPoint’s various service areas to get partners where they want – and need – to be. His marketing and research experience, as well as his familiarity with the trends and shifts in higher education, allow him to collaborate across various VisionPoint teams, contributing subject-matter expertise and strategic insight across the board.
Before joining VisionPoint, Brent led marketing and revenue strategy at Rapport Leadership, guiding the organization through a full rebrand, launching its first digital marketing initiatives, and building an integrated strategy that accelerated lead generation and enrollment growth. Before that, he served in senior marketing and enrollment leadership roles at Pearson and South University, where he partnered with campuses and university systems to strengthen brand positioning, optimize recruitment pipelines, and drive sustained enrollment gains. With work spanning from go-to-market strategy, CRM optimization, performance marketing, and organizational leadership across both domestic and international higher education markets. Before transitioning into education, he began his career in sports and entertainment marketing, managing sponsorships, promotions, and digital campaigns in minor league baseball, NASCAR, and collegiate athletics.
As a big believer that not everything can be learned in a classroom, and that everyone has the ability to do great things, one of Brent’s favorite quotes is, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
As a proud family man, Brent loves spending quality time with his wife and children, watching horror movies and competition shows. He also enjoys playing video games, watching soccer, or even volunteering as an assistant scoutmaster for his local troops.
