Get To Know Your User

A key component of our process for this project was to conduct usability testing as we moved through the discovery and information architecture phases. This gave us further insight into what information users were looking for and what challenges they were facing. The information gleaned from these sessions set the stage for all decisions moving forward.

Go Big or Go Home

In the design stages of the project, College of DuPage asked for a more fluid, engaging, and creative site than what they previously had. They wanted something bold and out of the box. As a true collaborative partner, we took that creative direction and came back with a design that is unexpected and innovative, setting College of DuPage apart from the competition.

Designing for Everyone

We needed to bring our innovative design to life while still maintaining ADA and accessibility compliance, so our designers and developers worked closely together to ensure that we were keeping in mind users of all types. For example, we included the option to switch to a long scroll page instead of the animated scrolling that you see upon first visit.

The Right-Fit CMS

Once we completed the front-end development of our new architecture and design, we handed the site over to our CMS partner, OmniUpdate. Following implementation with the CMS, the website is now live and fully functional in OU Campus and offers more opportunities for storytelling by putting the content that users need front and center.
