Looking Back On 2006
Posted: December 21, 2006
This year’s Wow factor is off the charts. What a year this has been for VisionPoint! When we look back at all the changes and growth we’ve gone through, we can hardly believe it.
We took a huge step when we acquired aHA! Factory, a web development and consulting firm with a national reputation, which helped position us as a leader in interactive marketing services. Former aHA! Factory President Anthony Poillucci came aboard with a wealth of ideas and energy, joining VisionPoint as Vice President of Creative Strategies. Tony’s fabulous background in web site design has helped us refine our business model to sharpen our focus on branding, messaging, search engine optimization services, blogging and other online marketing services.
We were named one of the top 50 women owned businesses in North Carolina by DiversityBusiness.com, the nation’s leading multicultural Web site. We also received the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Business Award for Steady Growth and Profitability, which helped to reinforce that we are on the right path. The Triangle Business Journal at the Women in Business Awards event held in August recognized me as one of the Triangle’s top businesswomen. The Triangle Business Journal also named VisionPoint Marketing one of the top Internet marketing and design firms in the Triangle.
This year we were fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with some excellent new clients, and there are a few we would like to mention. VisionPoint has been contracted by these outstanding organizations:
- Duke University Medical Center’s Division of Community Health’s Educational Programs
- John R. McAdams Company
- Arsenal Digital
- Security Traders Association
Despite having our hands full developing our business, we have found time to give back to our community via some exciting projects. We have helped some organizations that are important to the improvement of our community. Since online marketing is our forte, we have been fortunate to support the following organizations by helping them with their web sites: Me Fine Foundation, North Carolina Arts in Action, and Raleigh Vocational Center.
As an organization in 2006 we really had an opportunity to evolve. Besides adding Tony, we welcomed Thomas and Turner to our staff, but just as important we were able to make positive improvements to our company culture. We set a goal to be a great place to work where the best and brightest in online marketing would want to come and contribute. I am proud to report that we are well on our way to reaching this goal thanks to the amazing team that we have been able to assemble.
Finally, we have spent the past six months going through a comprehensive re-branding (the beginnings of which you see on this newly designed web site).
Our clients are experiencing the same level (if not more) of success in the past year as VisionPoint. We are proud to be a part of their teams and look forward to an exciting 2007.
Thank you to everyone that has helped VisionPoint have an amazing 2006….our clients, our team, and all of you that have been kind enough to remember us when someone asks you who they should consider for their web marketing needs.
