It’s that time of year again! The sun is shining, the A/C is running and new interns are diving in as part of our team. We are proud to offer all of our interns a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a professional (and fun) environment. After a thorough selection process, we bring in only the best and brightest to collaborate and contribute to our work here at VisionPoint.

This summer, we are delighted to welcome four new interns. Read on to find out a little more about each one and what makes them so great. We can’t wait to see what they are able to accomplish in the coming months.

Chelsea Wezensky traveled south from Metro-Detroit to attend Duke University and will start her senior year in the fall. After trying out several academic focuses including Russian, Calculus and Victorian Poetry, she finally landed on Computer Science as her major. She wanted to work at VisionPoint because she has an interest in marketing and hoped to gain more experience in the field. As a project manager intern, she will get to experience every aspect of our process. She knew it would be a good fit after getting a taste of the unique culture that VisionPoint has to offer.

When she’s not working or attending class, Chelsea always enjoys a good film, but is particularly fond of Star Wars and anything Disney. She has even been known to attend a Disney sing-along on Friday evenings at Duke.

Steven Cobb was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He came to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (and will hopefully avoid any disputes with NC State or Duke fans around the office.) He is working on a major in psychology and a minor in information systems. He chose VisionPoint because it offered an opportunity for him to gain web development experience, specifically with content management systems like Drupal and ExpressionEngine. As our web developer intern, he is sure to encounter plenty of learning opportunities this summer.

While Steven isn’t hard at work as an intern at VisionPoint, he enjoys a variety of activities outside the office. Basketball and golf are two of his favorite sports. He also taught himself how to play piano.

Rachel Purvis came to VisionPoint all the way from Alabama. She is a senior at Auburn University majoring in graphic design. Rachel chose VisionPoint because she liked our work and wanted to learn more about our process. She was looking for some real world experience, and we are excited to have her here as our graphic design intern.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys running, playing sports and socializing with friends. A true designer at heart, she enjoys all types of crafts and new projects. She also likes to knit. If we’re lucky, she’ll have time to make us a VisionPoint scarf before she leaves.

Teryn-Elizabeth Means is a senior at North Carolina State University. She is working on a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Teryn-Elizabeth is looking forward to working in a creative and collaborative environment here at VisionPoint.

Teryn-Elizabeth has many interests outside of her academic pursuits. When she’s not working, she enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with friends. She also loves to be creative and has a special talent for painting.

As you can see, we have several great additions to the team this summer. We’ll post more about their experiences and what they are learning throughout the summer. If an internship at VisionPoint Marketing sounds like something you would enjoy, please leave a comment with questions or contact us to learn more.
