Introducing Our Spring 2014 Interns
Posted: January 16, 2014
The start of a new semester means a great new group of interns. If you’ve read any of our earlier posts, then you’ll know VisionPoint interns don’t make company coffee runs (unless they develop our office-wide addiction to Starbucks). Our interns are here to learn, grow and make an impact. We’re always excited to bring on new interns that contribute fresh ideas to the team.
This spring, VisionPoint welcomes three awesome interns. We can’t wait to see what they achieve.
Alexa Merrill, Project Manager Intern
Alexa Merrill started at VisionPoint in November and will continue in her role as a project manager intern. Having graduated from North Carolina State University in 2013 with a degree in Communications, Alexa wanted to find a way to apply her skills in public relations. After she found out about about VisionPoint’s strong emphasis on culture, she knew the Raleigh-based marketing agency would be an excellent fit.
Alexa is excited to gain new skills while also making an impact with the VisionPoint team. She hopes that by the time her internship is complete, she’ll be well-prepared for a job in project management for future employers.
In her spare time, Alexa is working to become a master of trivia. She likes to meet with friends at least once a week to put her trivia skills to the test.
Alex Price, Project Manager Intern
Alex Price joins VisionPoint as a project manager intern. He attends NC State and plans to graduate in May with a degree in public relations and a minor in business administration. After graduation, Alex hopes to work for an up-and-coming organization with the kind of diverse client base that will allow him to expand and broaden his skill set.
Alex was initially interested in VisionPoint’s higher ed focus. While interning this spring, he hopes to hone his skills as a writer for client projects. He plans on learning more about collaborating with clients, strategic communication and how to develop a cohesive brand message.
When he’s not at the office or in class, Alex enjoys music and plays both the guitar and drums. He’s also a big fan of the crossfit movement, which keeps him in shape all year round.
Chelsea Rawson, Graphic Design Intern
Chelsea Rawson is this semester’s graphic design intern. Originally from Summerfield, N.C., Chelsea is a senior at NC State set to graduate in May with a degree in communication media and minors in art studies and biological sciences.
Looking to the future, Rawson hopes to work for a company where she can contribute creatively, generate layouts and other types of design and work with other proactive team members to achieve great results. While at VisionPoint, she hopes to polish her skills in both marketing and design, as well as create long-lasting relationships with the VisionPoint team.
Outside of school and work, Chelsea enjoys photography, photo-collaging, swimming, running, cooking and relentlessly browsing Pinterest for inspiration and ideas.
We’re always excited to welcome new interns on-board. If you’d like to learn more about VisionPoint’s intern program and what it can do for you, check out our website’s careers page or contact us today.
