Vision Point Marketing Strategist Dave Perks brings to every project a strong commitment to achieving a client’s goals both effectively and creatively. With over 20 years of experience in advertising, integrated marketing, public relations, and copywriting on his resume, Dave is particularly well-equipped to play a central role in developing and executing every aspect of a client’s marketing strategy. 

 

“What appeals to me the most about my role at VisionPoint is the consultative aspect of the work,” Dave says. “The collaboration, education and ultimately the accountability that comes with the work drives me to look for new and interesting ways to approach a client’s marketing challenges.” 

 

Dave is adept at managing and inspiring close, results-driven collaboration between our clients and all the VisionPoint resources. Before joining our strategy team, Dave spent a large portion of his career in creative departments working with writers, art directors, and digital media specialists on a wide variety of client campaigns. He understands first-hand the importance of communicating to clients how marketing strategy can translate into specific tactics that achieve goals and deliver a measurable return on investment. 

 

Dave’s marketing toolkit includes web and digital strategy, branding, competitive analysis, SEO, social media, and content strategy. He has a track record of award-winning work for clients at agencies large and small, as well as from running his own marketing consulting company for several years; his clients have included higher ed institutions, National Geographic, and the U.S. Marine Corps., among many others.

 

Dave is a graduate of Virginia Tech, and received his MS in Mass Communications from the VCU Brandcenter at Virginia Commonwealth University. When he’s not hard at work crafting marketing strategies for our clients, Dave enjoys paddling his kayak and fishing with his family on the New River. Known by his friends since high school as, “the Perkalator,” Dave lives up to his namesake, turning up the heat and extracting great client results from his marketing strategies.
