We’re pleased to announce our next stop on the national higher ed speaker circuit: NCMPR District 1 Annual conference in Mystic, Connecticut.
Yes, Mystic like the pizza except without Julia Roberts. We wish!
But what this conference lacks in movie stars is more than made up for by its compelling content and creative solutions for college communications. Attendees converge from over 90 community and technical colleges across the northeastern US and Canada. We expect an agenda bulging with keynotes, breakout sessions, round-tables and good ol’ fashioned networking.
Don’t Miss Our Breakout Session
Speaking of presentations, those of you attending NCPMR District 1 won’t want to miss ‘How to Build a Better Community College Website’ presented by Tony Poillucci on Monday at 10am in Ballroom West. Let’s be honest...most community college websites could use some improvement. Visitors get lost, offerings are unclear and content often fails to truly reflect all the great things you do. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a step-by-step methodology for overhauling a community college website to align with your goals and articulate your offerings and value?
Pulling examples from the redesigns of two of the largest community colleges on the east coast, Tony will speak candidly about how to understand your target audiences, why it’s so important to use plain language and how to structure content so people can find what they’re looking for, among other best practices. Anyone struggling with content, technology, design or web strategy in a community college environment will benefit from this session.
