Summer is flying by at VisionPoint! Everyone is keeping busy, including our fabulous team of interns. Since starting in early June, they have all contributed so much to our team and added to the fun and dedicated atmosphere at our office. Read on to hear more about the experiences our interns have had so far this summer.
Chelsea Wezensky has enjoyed getting to learn a variety of new skills as a project manager intern. She has become our go-to intern for competitive research and strategy. She is currently working on the challenging task of determining functional requirements for a new website. Although this is a difficult task, Chelsea has done a great job and continues to impress us with her level of professionalism. She enjoys coming into new projects every week. According to Chelsea, âThere is never a dull day at VisionPoint.â
Steven Cobb was introduced to a lot of new things during his first few weeks as a web development intern at VisionPoint. We had him working on multiple projects and completing an assortment of tasks. One of Steven’s goals for his intern experience was to become more familiar with working in a content management system (CMS). Thanks to several large Drupal sites with huge amounts of content, Steven is becoming an expert in navigating and developing a CMS. From quality assurance (QA) to content migration, he has gone above and beyond to help out and is a great addition to our team of developers.
Rachel Purvis has been able to bring her creative talents to the table as our graphic design intern. She started the summer hoping to learn about web design. In addition to contributing to several web design projects, Rachel has helped with print collateral, logo design and more. From a marketing perspective, she has had the opportunity to learn about strategy and client interaction, which are things she did not expect, but have found extremely valuable.
Teryn-Elizabeth Means has been able to contribute to many of the projects we have going on this summer as a project manager intern. She has been a huge help on several large site audits and is becoming an expert in project planning. Teryn quickly learned to build project plans and schedule resources to keep all of our project running smoothly. She has enjoyed learning about higher ed marketing and our process at VisionPoint.
This has been a great class of interns, to say the least. If you are interested in an internship at VisionPoint Marketing, take a look at our available openings for Fall 2013. Feel free to contact us with questions or leave a comment below.
