Of all the challenges VisionPoint Marketing encountered and overcame last week, the coldest came from our friends at Gardner-Webb University, who called us out for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We tip our hats to Noel Manning and the Communications and Marketing team for this creative and thoroughly entertaining video.
Since nobody on the VisionPoint team is capable of growing Shaun’s beard in any reasonable amount of time, we were left with only one choice. The Gardner-Webb client team lined up outside the office sporting our branded t-shirts as our CEO happily dumped ice-cold water over each of our heads. Some handled it better than others...
We’d like to throw the challenge back to two of our Gardner-Webb friends. First, Matt Renfer, a GWU copywriter, was conspicuously absent from Gardner-Webb’s ice bucket video. He probably thought we wouldn’t notice, but we did. Matt Renfer, we challenge you to the ALS ice bucket challenge.
We also challenge Katie Lovelace, a former Gardner-Webb staffer who recently left the University to pursue her dream of becoming a chaplain. We miss you, Katie, and to show how much we care, we could think of nothing better than including you in this ALS ice bucket challenge.
As entertaining as these videos are, the real purpose behind the challenge is to make a difference. We’re encouraging everyone to step up to the plate and donate to support ALS Research.
