As Senior UX Visual Designer, Lydia creates experiences that surprise, delight and engage our clients’ target audiences. From website designs and logo concepts to 20-foot hand-painted murals, Lydia’s love for creating amazing work stems from a deep-rooted passion: to make the world a beautiful place. But the best designers recognize that great design isn’t just about beauty; it’s also about effective communication. Lydia is a master of both.

Lydia's main focus at VisionPoint is in Integrated Marketing, where she brainstorms and executes client campaigns through everything from 40-foot billboards and digital display ads to college viewbooks and print advertisements. She's expert in creating campaigns that effectively meet clients' goals in a compelling, eye-catching way, though the reality of putting these things out into the world sometimes surprises her.

"Even now, after nearly a decade in this industry, it still blows my mind to see a billboard or logo I created in the wild. My family gets excited, too. They constantly send me screenshots of an ad I created or a photo of a newspaper ad. It's satisfying to see the work in action, but even more satisfying to know it’s reaching target audiences and making an impact for our clients."

A veteran designer with not one, but two degrees from NC State’s prestigious College of Design, Lydia balances her work at VisionPoint with her involvement in our local design community. She currently serves as Director of Design Empowerment for AIGA Raleigh — the Triangle’s preeminent association for design advocates, practitioners, enthusiasts and patrons.  She also attends several design conferences a year, sometimes as an attendee, and sometimes as a presenter, where she's able to connect to the wider creative community and sharpen her own skills.

Lydia lives with her husband, Matt, and their dog, Roxie in nearby Durham, North Carolina. When not creating amazing art, you can find her treasure hunting through local thrift stores, hitting the gym, working on home improvement projects, listening to true crime podcasts, or bingeing on Parks & Recreation reruns. She's a sucker for Harry Potter and Jane Austen and loves NC State sports and Hurricanes hockey. As a new aunt, she'd also love to show you photos of her adorable nephew and niece.
