The Director of Account Services is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of accounts and projects through designated Account Managers, Project Managers and Marketing Coordinators, ensuring alignment with company and client goals and strategy, consistency of process across projects and customer satisfaction with the services offered.

What You'll Do

Provide Strategic and Marketing Leadership

  • Works with clients and guides Account Directors, Account Managers and Marketing Coordinators to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identifies/implements solutions to help achieve client goals

  • Interprets effective analysis in support of strategic marketing recommendations

  • Manages strategic projects with accounts and projects that require an advanced level of Account Service

Build and Grow Client Relationships

  • Understands clients' business and goals and generate new ideas to enhance client performance

  • Sets Account Services’ goals, manages output and evaluates results to ensure VisionPoint is continually delivering innovative and effective solutions for clients

  • Builds own relationships with clients while providing guidance to support PM’s client relationships

  • Continually monitors client businesses and address any issues

  • Spends 15-25% of job traveling to cultivate client relationships,

Effectively Manage the Team

  • Provides strong, effective and highly visible hands on account leadership to the members of the Account Services team

  • Fosters teamwork and a constructive work environment

  • Oversees the selection, promotion, utilization and retention of Account Services team members

  • Creates framework and structure for individuals to excel within the team and within VisionPointReview performance of account services team members and suggest motivation, recognition and reward for outstanding performance as well as needed improvements and corrective actions

  • Facilitates discussions due to conflicting interests or priorities of resources, projects, and project teams

Contribute to the Company

  • Balances client demands with participation in broader company initiatives

  • Monitors the creation, documentation and execution of account services processes in an effort to continually refine and improve them

  • Works with sales resources to develop, review, approve and present to the client proposals, statements of work and quotes for services

  • Contributes to strategic and tactical company decisions

  • Represent the company at conferences and build partner relationships

  • Provides regular account updates to executive management

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Journalism, Communications or relevant field

  • 7+ years of account management and/or marketing experience

  • Demonstrate solid leadership, confidence and teamwork, with logical decision-making skills while maintaining an open-mind to new ideas and processes

  • Ability to motivate and work well with teams

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-caliber, strategic solutions

  • Excellent verbal, listening, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical

  • An innovative, client-focused and solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and in high pressure situations

  • Ability to manage stress

  • Willingness to simultaneously tackle multiple projects and challenges
