The purpose of this position is to assist in growing VisionPoint Marketing’s revenue and business opportunities by managing and contributing to activities and deliverables that will position VisionPoint as a leader within the higher education marketing community. This person will report to the President and CEO with dotted line reporting to the Marketing Director. The Marketing Program Manager will work closely with the other members of the Sales and Marketing team to execute specific marketing initiatives as part of VisionPoint’s own integrated marketing plan. This person will be responsible for the project management of all of VisionPoint’s own marketing efforts. This will require creating timelines for deliverables, scheduling resources, arranging travel, monitoring budgets, planning for conferences and overall support of the VisionPoint Sales and Marketing team. The Marketing Program Manager will also contribute to the creation of new marketing materials such as case studies, offers, website and social media content. They will be expected to represent VisionPoint professionally at various industry events and conferences when needed.

What You Will Do

  • Manage timelines and budget for all marketing efforts including new content creation, conference attendance and other marketing initiatives.

    • Develop timelines based on specific initiatives determined by the internal marketing team

    • Schedule and manage resources for the work required to complete deliverables

    • Arrange travel for conferences, pitches and other marketing and sales events

    • Monitor and report on budgets for all VisionPoint’s sales and marketing initiatives

    • Plan and help execute conference and tradeshow exhibits and presentation preparation

  • Create new content to be used in VisionPoint’s various marketing efforts through collaboration with VisionPoint’s internal marketing team/resources.

  • Iteratively improve the results driven by our marketing investment through strategic execution of tactics which align with VisionPoint’s content strategy.

  • Manage all of VisionPoint’s social media. This includes sharing content, managing social media teams  and resources to post content, monitor conversations and evaluate the effectiveness of current and potential future channels.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and research to evaluate the competitive landscape and inform which tactics will provide the greatest return on investment for VisionPoint.

  • Identify new opportunities for VisionPoint to position itself as a leader in higher education marketing through event attendance, presentations, etc.

  • Support the Marketing Director in all sales and marketing efforts and provide input on recommendations for improvements based on results.

  • Represent VisionPoint at industry events as part of our support of the higher education marketing community.

  • Embody and foster VisionPoint’s values and act as a positive culture leader through participation in events and building strong relationships with all team members.

Education and Experience

  • Must demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to actively listen and identify opportunities to leverage our company’s expertise to help a client achieve their goals and then clearly communicate how that can be accomplished.
  • Must be extremely organized and able to balance multiple schedules, timelines and budgets.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other applicable field of study.
  • Must have experience with various social media channels and have a thorough understanding of the content that best applies to each.
  • Must be internally motivated, driven and goal-oriented.
  • Must demonstrate excellence in detail orientation.
  • Must demonstrate empathy or clients, team members, etc.
  • Must be optimistic and take the attitude that most problems can be solved.

Compensation

Commensurate with experience.
