Making Money is a discussion lead by the infamous Doc Searls on the economics of blogging. The back and forth that is heard in this piece is very interesting. Dave Winer pipes in and a few other famous bloggers. I think the most relevant piece is focus. Monetizing a blog requires you to have a sharp focus on a specific topic. This encourages your audience to pay attention and your contextual ads to be more relevant.
The fact is, there are bloggers who have quit their jobs and are making great money. TechCrunch, Engadget, these are huge- but you can do it too. What is your concentration, your expertise? Dawn and Drew , Wonkette , Scoble – all brands, all with expectations specific to their outlet.
