Interactive Marketing Strategist

As Interactive Marketing Strategist, JP is responsible for utilizing search marketing, social media marketing and analytics to create and execute data-supported marketing campaigns in conjunction with the business goals of VisionPoint Marketing’s clients.  He brings a scientific approach to online marketing, blending his talents in technology, marketing, research and mathematics and applying those skills to his duties for long-term improvements.

JP has more than 10 years of interactive marketing experience.  He started out as a PSYOP (Psychological Operations) Specialist for U.S. Army SOCOM in Ft. Bragg as an expert in online information dissemination.  During his Army service, JP worked with foreign governments across Southeast Asia to reduce the effects of the endemic issues of malaria and land mines.  He then started a business intelligence division in an agency to provide integrated research and data analysis for such clients as Motorola and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

In 2007 JP moved from Raleigh to Los Angeles, where he worked for the world’s largest video game search engine, creating interactive marketing campaigns across Europe, Asia and North America.  Prior to joining VisionPoint and returning to Raleigh, JP’s more recent projects included guiding the interactive marketing efforts for Toyota Scion, Dreamworks and Tecmo games. 

While JP describes himself as “just a geek”, he has also been a paratrooper, a Marie Walsh Sharpe fine arts scholar, an archaeological dig team leader, an extra in a zombie movie, a writer for video games and is conversant in Korean, German and Spanish.  He resides in Raleigh and serves as a human jungle-gym for his 4-year-old son and twin infant boys.
