VisionPoint Marketing, a Raleigh, NC based online marketing firm, is looking to fill a full-time Interactive Designer position to work on a number of high-profile accounts in their Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in graphic design and, more specifically, design for interactive media such as web sites, user interfaces, robust online ads, etc. Whereas design will be the primary skill set, the ideal candidate should have some level of basic coding skills including a proficiency in xHTML and Flash (for this particular role, design skills will take priority over technical prowess). The candidate will work with, and learn from a seasoned Creative Director as well as work with some of the top coders in the region. This is a unique opportunity to hone existing skills in graphic design, branding and interactive design; and grow your skill set into search engine optimization, accessibility, and so on.
The candidate requires a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design. Experience level is less important than the ability to learn and grow with the team and mentors. You’ll be working with some of the best people in the business on local, nationally and internationally recognized brands. • Help develop concepts and design direction for html and Flash-based interactive projects including web sites, advertising banners, and web applications
• Work with Creative Director and other team members to create visual design for interactive media including web site design, interface design and motion graphics.
• Lead graphics production on select projects
• Program front-end HTML templates and Flash elements
• For most projects you’ll be designing and coding front-end elements – it’s essential that candidates enjoy both.
To qualify for this position, you need to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field of study (or equivalent experience), top-notch traditional graphic design skills, an understanding of usability for the web, and possess high-level skills with things like Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, xHTML and CSS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a plus.
You must be organized, dependable and have experience juggling multiple tasks/projects to be successful in this position.
